Dr Lauren Parkes
Senior Veterinarian

Dr Amanda graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 2015. She spent her graduate year working in a mixed practice clinic in outback Queensland. There she learned how to think on her feet to manage a wide range of cases and developed a strong interest in surgery. Since then, Amanda worked in a small animal practice in Brisbane, working to provide gold standard care to all of her patients. At The Pines Vet, Amanda looks forward to providing the same level of care to our clients. At home, Amanda spends time with her two cats, Toothless and Lychee, and keeping up with her many hobbies such as aerial silks and mountain biking. Dr Lauren graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2015 and then went on to complete a rotating small animal internship at Veterinary Specialist Services in 2016. Dr Lauren then went on to work in private small animal practice in Brisbane for a year, before returning to the University of Queensland as a General Practitioner and Clinical Educator for final year veterinary students in 2017. Dr Lauren moved to the Gold Coast in 2020 when she joined The Pines Vet team where she can develop her interests and skills in preventative care and internal medicine cases. Dr Lauren spends a lot of her free time exercising her nutter-butter Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Fletcher, or curled up on the couch with a glass of red wine and her much loved tabby cat, Sushi.

Brooke is a passionate all-rounder when it comes to pets. She has worked in pet sitting, puppy preschool, zoos and pet grooming. In addition to studying and working as a junior vet nurse at The Pines Vet, Brooke also works in online pet retail.
