New to The Pines Vet?

Your first visit, step by step

We want your pet's first visit to feel calm and easy. Here's what to expect and what to bring along.

What to expect

  1. Book a time that suits you

Book online any time, or give us a call. Let us know it's your first visit so we can allow time to get to know you both.

  2. Arrive a few minutes early

Our friendly team will welcome you, check your details and help your pet settle in.

  3. A thorough, gentle check-up

Your vet will talk with you about your pet's history and lifestyle, then do a nose-to-tail examination at a pace your pet is comfortable with.

  4. A plan made together

We'll explain what we found, answer your questions and talk through any recommended next steps before anything goes ahead.

What to bring

  • Your contact details and your pet's name, age, breed and sex
  • Previous vaccination certificates and medical records (or your previous vet's details)
  • A list of current medications, supplements and flea, tick and worm treatments
  • What and how much your pet usually eats
  • Notes on any concerns or changes you've noticed — photos or videos can help too
  • Microchip number, if you have it
  • Dogs on a lead and cats or small pets in a secure carrier

Don't have everything? That's okay — bring what you can and we'll help with the rest.
